NASFAT YOUTH WING TAKES A BOLD STEP IN DAWAH – Visits Kirikiri Security Prison; Donates Public Address System, Quran among others
As Muslims have fasted during Ramadan and enjoyed the heightened sense of spirituality the month brought, it is important to remember not all Muslims enjoy the same freedoms. Prison is geared to be a time to reflect. Ramadan and Eid-L-Fitri day is an even greater opportunity for Muslim inmates to strengthen their path to goodness; it is the highlight of an otherwise isolated existence.
In achieving NASFAT Mission which is “To develop an enlightened Muslim society nurtured by a true understanding of Islam for the spiritual upliftment and welfare of mankind”, the NASFAT Youth Wing HQ in conjunction with the Youth Wing of NASFAT Lagos Zone 1 & 2 paid a felicitation visit to Kirikiri Security Prison in Apapa, Lagos on Eid-l-Fitri Day on Sunday, June 25th 2017).
The visit which is in accordance to Quran Chapter 76 Verse 8 “And feed with food the needy, the orphan and the prisoner, for love of Him” had NASFAT Youth members turned out in their large numbers.
